Education & Experience

I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Alaska Anchorage and a background in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My experience includes serving as a mental health consultant for the Anchorage School District, supporting teachers and students with emotional and social challenges. As an outpatient clinician, I have helped adolescents and adults navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, and life transitions, while conducting behavioral health assessments for treatment planning.

I have also worked closely with children and families, connecting them with essential resources and supporting foster families and parents seeking reunification. My approach is person-centered, humanistic, and mindfulness-based, with deep respect for people and community. I look forward to continuing my work at Dynamic Psych Services, empowering clients to lead fulfilling, purposeful lives.

More About Me

My journey into social work began with my move to Alaska and my first role as a direct support provider at a children’s behavioral health program. I quickly transitioned to case management and pursued a degree in social work. After graduation, I became an outpatient clinician, working with adolescents and adults on mental health and substance use challenges.

I am guided by humanistic principles, approaching each client with unconditional positive regard. My compassion for the struggles people face and my belief in the inherent worth of every individual renew my commitment to the work. I see each person and family as having unique strengths that can lead to positive change. Even the smallest step toward helping someone improve their self-view or life motivates me in my continued work in therapy, assessments, case management, and consulting.
